Question: Where can I find a 1967 Ford Mustang?
I just love these cars....I'm willing to fix it up. Where can I find one?

Answer: At any local Mustang show. Seriously though, ask around at local car shows, check on Craigslist, LemonFree, eBay, Autotrader, local newspapers. They are pretty easy to find and parts are plentiful.

Question: Where is the amp on a 92 Ford Mustang (convertible) with premium sound?
The radio in my 92 Mustang convertible went dead a week ago. Now it works intermittently, for about 20 minutes or so, only to die again. I'm told the system has an external amp and that's what's going (the receiver appears to be still working). So, before I go junkyard hopping, does anyone know where the amp is? And is anyone making an aftermarket one that's compatible with the stock system? Thanks for any replies.

Question: Whats a good motor to drop into a Ford Mustang?
Ok so basically i wanna buy a 6 cylinder mustang one of the newer models like 1995 and up, now whats like the best motor to drop into it? Something really quick. i dunno where to begin like a 302? thanks for the help!!! :)

Answer: There's really nothing wrong with the v6 engine. You actually have 2 less pistons than a v8. You can make up for that. If you look at the Supras, they can make up to 1000hp with a 6 cylinder. The question is how make you want to spend? I recommend that you get a 4.2 stroker kit with forged internals and you can get this at www.supersixmotorsports.com. That would still make you a v6, you're just adding a new crank shaft, new rods and pistons. Then, include a power adder; I recommend you get a twin turbo and that would easily get you 700rwhp. I think this would be better and you could definitely outrun a Cobra/GT/V8/302 engine. Hope this helps and good luck with your decision.

Question: I have a 1980 Ford Mustang and it want start in cold weather? help?
I had to get a blank and wrap the engine to warm it up then take it off to then pump the gas while cranking, what could be the problem?

Answer: It could be any number of things on a car that age. There are so many emission controll devices on these cars that can fail after such a long time. You have some tiny rubber hoses that can crack and start leaking. Even a small vacuum leak on a carburated car in the cold can make it hard to start. Also, your choke could be malfunctioning. There are so many possibilities on a car like this.

Question: I have a 97 Ford Mustang and the side mirrors are black plastic instead of being painted.?
I do not keep my car in a garage even though I know I should. The black plastic looks like it has spots on it. I don't know what it is it sits under a tree so maybe it's sap that comes off the tree that has put spots on it. It also looks like it might be wax build up or like maybe some kind of mildew or something. I have tried scrubbing it with just soapy car wash liquid but the spots come back when it dries. I've also tried wax but the spots still remain there. Is there any suggestions for getting the spots off the plastic and making it looks shiny and good again?

Answer: Use Scotch Brite on it to smooth it to a consistent look, then wipe it off with a tack cloth, then tape it off all around it, and spray it will a spray can off automotive clear coat.

Question: I have a 2001 ford mustang GT with starting problems?
the problem is intermitent, but i think that it is fuel related. sometimes when i try to start it, all it does is stall. the fuel pump puts out the right pressure, it is not a vacuum line issue and i can hear the pump operating with the ignition in the on posistion. could it be the camshaft posistion sensor.

Answer: maybe the fuel injectors need a cleaning

Question: Question between a Ford Mustang and a Toyota Matrix....?
I have a Ford Mustang V6 and my grandmother has a Toyota Matrix 4 cylinder.

Her car has so much more get-up-and-go power than my Mustang. In fact, a lot of other cars with 4 cylinders that I have driven take off faster than my Mustang.

Why is this when my car is a V6?

Answer: You're car has horsepower which is more noticable at higher speeds, the matrix has a lot of torque, which is lower speeds. Weight is also a consideration. If you take both those cars to 80mph+ you should have the matrix beat.

Question: Brake light in dash panel goes on and off while shifting in my 2004 Ford Mustang?
I recently noticed that every once and a while while I shift gears, the brake light in the dash panel goes on and then off in a couple seconds. The brake is clearly not on, but this happens. Any ideas on what this is? Or how to remedy this?

Answer: check your fluid level...when you shift the fluid "sloshes" around ...if its not full the sensor could be giving false reads

I have a 1985 mustang gt and I don't have no idea wheres the fuse box is.

Answer: Source states is under instrument panel, left of steering column.

Question: What makes a chirping sound on my '01 Ford Mustang?
I have changed the pulley barron, serpentine belt, the tension pulley,and the water pump.Was told the alternator was good. What next?

Answer: If it is the 3.8L V-6, check the synchronizer. The cam sensor is mounted to the top of it, and the synchronizers on those are bad about the bushing failing. It sounds exactly like a bad belt or pulley. You can actually push the synchro very slightly with a screwdriver, and one way will make it louder, the other way stops the chirp. Then you know for sure that's the cause.
If it is a V-8, then just keep hunting at the accessory drive.

Question: In a 2000 Ford Mustang GT convertible, where is the trunk release?
I cannot find the swich to open the trunk when I'm in the car. I also don't have the trunk release button on my keys.

Answer: As a former owner of a 2000 Mustang convertible, I can tell you that the remote trunk release is a button located inside the glove compartment door on the left side.

Question: What's the soundtrack of the Ford Mustang arabic commercial?
It's a great sound track. I need to know the name to get it, either buy it or download it!

Answer: The soundtrack is actually a Mozart Symphony, sung by some arabiac person. I believe its symphon nyumber 41? Or 40.... .right around that number.

Question: How much would a rebuilt transmission be for a 95 Ford Mustang??

Answer: It depends on the extent of the damage to the transmission and the type of transmisson you have. Assuming the worst case scenario for a manual transmission you could be around 1200 - 1400 (1500 - 1800 if you need a clutch too ). If you have an automatic transmission, you probably have an AOD-E/4R70W transmission. Depending on the extent of the damage, it could be anywhere from 2100 - 2600. The cost of a transmission is only made up of 2 things: Parts and Labor. Depending on where you live, labor rates can vary a great deal! The going rates here in Northern VA range from 85 to 100 an hour. Next is parts. The only parts replaced when a transmission is rebuilt are those which are worn and damaged. So the extent of the damage makes up the majority of the price. As far as cost of parts go, it also depends on the quality of parts being installed. New, Used, Remanufactured, etc. Also make sure the warranty you recieve is minimum of one year and is nationwide.

Question: Can anyine tell me where I can get the value of a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1?
I went to Kelly Blue book and they can't look it up because it's to old of a car. It has a 351ci. engine and it got in a wreck but I need the value of it.

Answer: prices for those have gone astronomical, 7500 and up :)

Question: What type of fuel Octane should I use on my V6 1999 Ford Mustang??
87 or 89 and is there a difference, I have been putting always 93 but since gas prices went up I went down to 89, just wondering if I can push it to 87? Without hurting my engine. thanks.

Answer: run the cheap stuff.......higher octane keeps your fuel system cleaner , but you can always add a can of octane boost once a month to help clean it up...

Question: I have a choice to get a 2007 Ford Mustang or....?
I have a choice between a 2007 Ford Mustang or pretty much any other car that i want on the market. The family is kind of pushing towards anything else they think that the Mustang isn't practical for my lifestyle. I am 22 years old and my husband is deployed and i am living at home til he gets back. I kind of wanted a fun car to roll around in. What do you all think?

Answer: Get the Mustang........you only live once. I didnt do that. I now am 31, two kids, and NOW im looking into a sporty car to ride in. i wish I'd done it sooner!

also, if your family is not paying for it, then who cares what their answer is. after all, they will love you know matter what kind of car you drive.

And another thing, your husband is not home. he is serving his life in the form of duty for our country. You dont get the happiness of the total/normal married life like some people do. If this car will make you happy, then go for it. You deserve it in ways that not too many people will understand anyways.

Question: 1972 ford mustang what to do?
I got a 1972 ford mustang it has been with my dad ever since i was born I'm 18 now and he is giving it to me I'm debating whether i should fix it up make it look really nice and run great or fix it all the way up and take it to the drag race tracks. Tell me what you think i should do with the car and why.

I was thinking of making it look and run good then pass it down to my kids. Then again i would love to race it.

Answer: You have to fix it up. That car has sentimental value to you. You can find any car at a lot and race it.

I bet your Dad would really like it if it was brought back to new, I'll bet it would bring back some memories for him.

Question: How come my car is over heating? 2003 ford mustang,150K+ miles; radiator just flushed, no leaks or cracks.?

Answer: Does it overheat only in city traffic and is ok on the highway?
Suspect the fan.
Check to see if your fan is coming on. If you turn the AC on, the fan should come on whether it is warmed up or not.

Any noise coming from the belts? perhaps the fan belt is not tight enough.

Have a thermostat? perhaps needs replacing.
Make sure it's not installed backwards (could happen).
Perhaps you have a 180 degree thermostat?
I believe yours stock is a 210 degree (better verify that).
